Last War Butler (“the Service”) sells monthly subscriptions to credit tiers (Plus, Pro) that meter usage of Butler’s automation API. This policy explains when a charge is refundable. It applies to paid subscriptions only — the Free tier has no charge to refund.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: they handle the payment, issue your receipt, and collect any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live. Charges appear on your statement as Paddle rather than as Last War Butler. Refunds approved under this policy are issued through Paddle, and Paddle’s buyer terms apply to the transaction alongside this policy.
A paid tier bills monthly until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal (Settings → Manage subscription in Butler, which opens your Paddle customer portal). Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep your tier and its credits through the end of the period you already paid for. We do not prorate or refund the unused portion of a current billing period when you cancel partway through it.
If this is your first payment on a given tier and something went genuinely wrong — you were charged in error, charged twice for the same period, or a technical fault on our side kept the credits from being usable — contact us within 7 days of that charge and we’ll refund it. We look at how much of the period’s credit allotment was actually spent: a full refund is straightforward if little or none of it was used; if most of it was already spent, we may prorate the refund or decline it, at our discretion, since the credits already did their job.
Email support@lastwarbutler.com with the email on your account and the approximate charge date. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Paddle and typically post within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of contacting us first, we may suspend the account associated with it while the dispute is resolved. Please reach out to us directly — most billing issues are faster to fix that way.
We may update this policy by posting a revised version on this page. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Charges made before a change are handled under the policy in effect when you were charged.
